Position Title
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR FOR SEXUAL AND GENDER DIVERSITY

Although Toledo, Ohio is home, Chelsea has spent the majority of her adult life in Michigan at Grand Valley State University where she earned her M.Ed in Higher Education with an emphasis in College Student Affairs Leadership and her B.S in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. During her time at GVSU, she held various roles including interning for the Gayle R. Davis Center for Women and Gender Equity and was the Graduate Assistant for the Milton E. Ford LGBT Resource Center. 

Through her various roles and educational courses, Chelsea has developed a passion and excitement for sexual and gender identity-based work in higher education. Her research and educational interests include student activism, law and higher education, LGBT history, Queer and Trans theory, and student leadership development. Chelsea is excited to be at UNC Charlotte and work with the amazing students, staff, and faculty here. When she's not working Chelsea can be found hanging out with her two cats, baking, and pursuing photography.
