Ryan McKeel

Ryan McKeel (they/them) holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Wingate University, where they also minored in music, and a Masters of Education in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. 

 

With experience in housing and residence life as well as in diversity and inclusion work at multiple institutions across the UNC system, Ryan is excited to return to Charlotte, having previously worked at multiple local arts organizations including JazzArts Charlotte (formerly the Jazz Arts Initiative) and Blumenthal Performing Arts. 

 

Ryan is passionate about culturally relevant leadership learning and regularly engages in research and reflection surrounding Critical Race Theory, Queer Theory, and Intersectionality. Outside of work, Ryan can be found searching for the perfect iced coffee, eating wings, getting their nails done, or watching/reading anything related to the art of Drag.
